JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his wife Che’ Puan Khaleeda Bustamam welcome the birth of their son, an heir to the Johor throne.

The Johor Council of the Royal Court President Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said the royal family was overjoyed by the arrival of the baby boy.

“The Johor Council of the Royal Court is pleased to announce that His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor has graciously consented in naming the son and heir of His Royal Highness Tunku Mahkota Johor as follows: His Highness Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Tunku Ismail,” he said in a brief statement.

Tunku Ismail and Che’ Puan Khaleeda were blessed with a baby girl, Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Khalsom Aminah Sofiah, on June 25 last year.

Tunku Ismail, 33, who is also the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president and Khaleeda, 24, were married in October 2014.

The national football team, under the guidance of Tunku Ismail, made the finals of the Sea Games in Kuala Lumpur last year.
