Penang girding itself to face rabies


BUTTERWORTH: Penang is taking full precautionary measures, including setting up roadblocks to check vehicles bringing in pets into the state, to prevent any outbreak of rabies.

State Health Committee chairman Dr Afif Bahardin said the Veterinary Department is stockpiling vaccines and has also implemented several measures, such as implanting microchips in dogs.
