CTRESS Nonny Nadirah Zainuddin, better known as Noni (pic), has been hospitalised after suffering bouts of vomiting, reported Harian Metro.

The former Akademi Fantasia 5 contestant was shooting a telefilm before she was hospitalised.

A source said it was not known what had caused her to become ill.

“At first, she just said she wasn’t feeling well but continued working,” the source said.

“However, the director stopped the shooting when he saw her condition.”

The paper tried to reach Noni for comment but she did not respond.

The actress wrote on her Instagram account later that she had been sick for a week and apologised for not replying to messages or phone calls.

> More than 300 vendors are unhappy after they were told to move out from Pekan Ampang Market by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) without any proper notice, reported Berita Harian.

There are development plans slated for the market, including the construction of a two-storey building.

The project was supposed to be completed by 2018.

However, the paper said MPAJ only organised two meetings on the development plans with the area’s hawker and trader association.

The association’s secretary, Veronica Liew, claimed the MPAJ did not take the vendors into account as they had been operating there for a long time.

“The time for development is not right as the economic situation of the country is not stable.

“The vendors were also given no notice of the plans.

“Instead they were suddenly told that they were ‘trespassing’ on the land and have to move out,” she said.
