More Tamil schools to be in towns


KUALA LUMPUR: More SJK(T) schools are being built in urban areas to accommodate the increasing number of Tamil students moving from estates to towns, said MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.

He said the Education Ministry had spent RM730mil over the last seven years to build and upgrade Tamil schools in the country.
