Tunku Ismail is acting sultan

JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim has been appointed as Regent of Johor and will take charge during Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar’s official visits to several countries.

Sultan Ibrahim said in his decree, read out by Johor Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli, that the appointment was made according to the Johor state constitution 1895.
