PORT DICKSON: The move to increase the minimum wage for workers in the country has among others been proposed to reduce the country's dependence on foreign workers, says Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
The Transport Minister said that this measure, as well as the proposal for Socso contributions for those earning a salary of less than RM4,000 a month, were also in line towards achieving a high-income nation by 2020.
