A youth in his early 20s sustained serious injuries after he was bashed and hacked by several people at the exit of a cinema in Jalan Tun Dr Awang, Penang.

GEORGE TOWN: A youth in his early 20s sustained serious injuries after he was bashed and hacked by several people at the exit of a cinema in Jalan Tun Dr Awang here.

The victim had left the cinema with a friend at 2.30am on Sunday after a midnight screening when they were chased by a group of nine men armed with helmets and parang at the cinema’s exit path.
