Banker's last words - 'My darling'


KUALA LUMPUR: Management consultant Cheong Mei Kuen said as banker Hussain Ahmad Najadi lay dying from an assailant’s bullet outside a temple here last year, he whispered to her, “My darling.”

Those were the last words she heard from the late Arab-Malaysian Development Bank founder, who Cheong repeatedly referred to as “my husband” in her emotion-packed testimony before Justice Mohd Azman Husin in the High Court here yesterday.
