Barisan files election petitions for Batu and Lembah Pantai parliamentary seats

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional has filed two election petitions at the High Court here over the results of Lembah Pantai and Batu parliamentary seats during the 13th general election.

Voter Mohamad Sazali Kamilan, 43, the petitioner for the Lembah Pantai seat, said that Nurul Izzah Anwar, 33, who won by a 1,847-majority, had given a false statement regarding her rival BN candidate Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin over a land deal on May 4, a day before polling day.
