Barisan mobilising machinery in full force to ensure victory at Johor and Negri state polls, says Zambry

The meeting was chaired by Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Umno president.

JOHOR BARU: Barisan Nasional will mobilise its full machinery for the upcoming Johor and Negri Sembilan state elections, says Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The Barisan secretary-general said the coalition would put its full force and focus on ensuring victory in both state polls.

“The Barisan chairmen from both states have given briefings on their respective election preparations.

“Everything went smoothly,” he said after attending Barisan’s supreme council annual general meeting at the Johor Umno liaison office here on Saturday (June 13) night.

The meeting was chaired by Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Umno president.

Zambry was also asked about seat allocations for both state elections but declined to elaborate.

“We have finalised our stance to contest using our own logo in the Johor and Negri Sembilan state elections,” he said.

He added that during the meeting, Barisan stated its commitment to supporting the present federal government until the end of its term to ensure national stability, confidence and investment in the development agenda until the completion of the term.
