Novelist Azizi Abdullah dies at 69

GEORGE TOWN: Popular novelist Azizi Abdullah (pic), who was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit at Penang Hospital on Aug 11, has died.

Utusan Penggu­na assistant editor Mohd Rid­zuan Moha­mad said the condition of 69-year-old Azizi, who was warded sin­ce March and un­­derwent heart surgery in April, had become unstable following a bacterial attack, diabetes and kidney problem and he died at 7.50am yesterday.
