DUBAI: Malaysian Muhammad Ahmad Zahid’s mesmerising recital of the Quran has helped him win the best recitation category at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (Dihqa).
And the 13-year-old hafiz (a person who knows the Quran by heart) was given the honour of reciting verses of the Quran at the prize-giving ceremony graced by the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the end of the competition yesterday.
