MALACCA: The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Machap state seat will be selected from a list of prospective candidates after consulting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting.
“We've not discussed the matter yet, however, as we're still mourning the passing of the incumbent assemblyman Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam,” Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Ali Rustam told reporters after attending a meet-the-people session with Melaka fm.
