
A restaurant staff in Buloh Kasap, Segamat, received five stitches on his head after he was slashed by a customer who refused to pay his outstanding bill.
It was reported that the 38-year-old suspect, a local man, allegedly owed the restaurant RM70.
The victim, an Indian national aged 58, had asked the suspect to clear his debt which had accumulated for a week but the latter refused and left the premise.
Three hours later, the suspect returned with a parang and attacked the victim at the cashier.
The suspect has been remanded for five days pending investigation.

In Bachok, a 19-year-old young father, who had just welcomed his first child a month ago, tragically passed away on Tuesday due to a car accident.
The victim, Nik Fazlin Nik Him, had first slipped into a coma for three days after he was hit by a car at 2am on May 7.
It is believed that the driver was drunk when he ran over the victim.
Nik Fazlin is survived by his 17-year-old wife, Nurul Afifah Adila Mokhtar, and their baby daughter, Nik Nur Aira Adira.
