THE recent calls to abolish pension schemes for politicians and civil servants have ruffled the feathers of beneficiaries, in particular the latter group.
Cuepacs (Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services) president Datuk Adnan Mat reportedly says it is unfair to lump in the earnings of civil servants with the salaries of parliamentarians. Adnan also says a pension is a reward for civil servants who work tirelessly for decades.
