WITH a pension of about RM3,450 a month, 73-year-old Nora Abdullah just about covers her medical and monthly medication costs, food and other monthly necessities including “adult nappies”. While it does not leave her with much to save, her pension helps her to live with some dignity in her golden years.

However, she has been rattled by the recent news that – following the court’s decision which rendered the Pensions Adjustment (Amended) Act 2013 invalid – the government is reverting to pension payments as at December 2012.
