KPMG in Malaysia recently awarded one-time financial support ranging from RM8,000 to RM10,000 to 24 scholars under its Young Star Scholarship Programme.

Since the scholarship was introduced in 2022, a total of RM682,000 has been awarded to 77 scholars.

KPMG (Malaysia) managing partner Foong Mun Kong said the future belongs to those who learn, unlearn and relearn.

The next generation, he added, will enter a world defined by rapid transformation, including the rise of artificial intelligence and increasing macroeconomic complexity.

“In this context, success will not be defined by having all the answers, but by adaptability, agility and continuous learning.

“The Young Star Scholarship Programme reflects this conviction. It provides access to higher education and builds the resilience and capabilities students need to thrive in a rapidly changing world,” he said in a June 10 press release.

Besides financial support to complete their professional papers, the scholarship provides a structured pathway that includes a guaranteed internship placement and a one-year employment bond upon graduation.

Scholars are also supported through ongoing mentorship and professional development, complemented by exposure to firm-led learning, leadership development, and sustainability-focused initiatives throughout their journey.
