Lee-ding the Malaysian challenge

Do us proud: Jian Yu (third left) will be representing Malaysia at the ACP World Championship 2022 in Disneyland, California, next month.

A PASSIONATE dreamer from Taiping, Perak, Lee Jian Yu will have the honour of representing Malaysia at the upcoming Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) World Championship 2022 at Disneyland, California, in the United States.

The digital 3D animation student is currently pursuing his diploma at Equator College Penang and will head for the United States next month.

He was crowned champion on June 2 during the national level competition round at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the college said in a press release.

The award is a memorable achievement for him and his family as it affirmed his love for art and design.

With over 1,000 entries from across Malaysia, Jian Yu was shortlisted to be among the top 30 finalists.

During the grand finale, the finalists were required to create and complete their artworks using only Adobe software within eight hours, and without Internet access.

For his effort, Jian Yu won a trip to Disneyland to compete in the global round of the competition.
