PRATIMA Tamang’s ancestral home crumpled to the ground in mere seconds when the biggest earthquake in Nepal’s history wreaked havoc in the landlocked country on April 25, 2015.

Dubbed the Gorkha earthquake, the 7.8 magnitude temblor that struck Nepal caused landslides and avalanches as well as destroying homes and nearly every structure in its way. People died and were also injured.
