ERRA Fazira, one of Malaysia's show biz stars who never fails to impress, is a bundle of joy these days.
One: the 51-year-old Erra, who has a big following since the 90s, is joining up with an international artiste from Singapore, and is expected to release her new single in the very near future.
Then she is among the lead hosts for Astro's new TV show 'Borak Seeni'. The show will be seen in Astro Prima from Tuesday to Friday and filmed in the new technology style of ‘Extended Reality’ (XR) and ‘Augmented Reality’ (AR).
And third, which she has said she is very happy with the situation, is that her blossoming friendship with businessman Ezwan Zain, known as "Mr E", is coming along well and it is expected to go a step further in the near future.
"Life is just great now. I'm very happy. And I pray with blessings of my elders and also my fans that it gets better in the future," said Erra in an interview with The Star during her Hari Raya open house in Petaling Jaya.
"I'm very excited for the new Astro show. It is something new and the concept is very different and our team is hoping that we can push this new genre to arts and music fans.
"I do hope home viewers and fans accept us in a good way and support us all through the whole season." she added.
Besides Erra, the other hosts for the new Astro show are radio deejays Faizal Ismail, Haziq Hussni and Hunny Madu; singer, Nana Mahazan; media personalities, Dahlia Shazwan and Keanu Azman.
"As for the new single, it is going well and production is nearing its end. The team will be releasing it soon but by far, it will be the fans and critics who will decide the standard of the single. But I do hope fans enjoy my new effort."
But the talk of the town and even at the Hari Raya event on Sunday was by far her new 'friendship' tale. In fact, the new 'hot couple in town' attended the event together with their families and friends.
"It is not like we are young and a couple that need to declare this and that. But I can confirm that I want to take this relationship to the next level or phase. However, there is no pressure from any of the sides.
"I feel that we (Erra and Ezwan) are very happy with the situation. It is really very comfortable being with him. But all good things will be more wonderful when the time is right. And it has to happen naturally.
"And Ezwan and I, are two adults who are allowing everything to fall in place and that will be when the time is 'very' right and perfect."
The evergreen star, whose real name is Fazira Wan Chek, added that that "maturity" had helped her go through her new relationship more calmly this time.
"I just like to say that there is no rush. None at all. Let's just take things step by step and I'm very happy that both of us are thinking alike on this matter," she said.
Erra added what helps the relationship is the kids are also happy for their mom and dad. Both Erra and Ezwan have a 16-year-old daughter each from their previous marriages and they are getting along well.
"My daughter is very happy for me and she gets along very well with Ezwan and respects him a lot. Likewise, his daughter is just as charming and I like her a lot too. It also helps the two girls are both the same age, and their blessing for us is very important," Erra added.
On top of that, their public appearances and social media interactions have garnered positive reactions, with many fans hoping for a lasting union for the couple.
Both Erra and Ezwan said they feel blessed with the support from elders, well-wishers' and fans too.
"When our well-wishers and fans bless us, then things can only get better. We thank them all for their kind words," said both Erra and Ezwan at the event.
During the event, Ezwan added that like Erra, he prefers to take things one step at a time.
"She is an amazing person. Very down-to-earth and calm at all times. Her kind nature just won me over on many occasions," said Ezwan.
"She is also mature and very understanding and understands all the details of my work. But like she said earlier, there is no need to rush into anything.
"It is looking very good and we will make a decision in time to come. But I hope the blessings from all is there for us. That is a big help in our life as a couple."
Simply put, none will wish otherwise for these two simply cool and gentle personalities. And by far their down-to-earth and friendly personalities are simply enchanting.
And after Sunday, this writer also can only wish for these two gentle people, forever everlasting happiness in the future.
