Malaysian singer-actress Erra Fazira to marry on Dec 12

Popular Malaysian artiste Erra Fazira has confirmed that she will be tying the knot with Ezwan Zain on Dec 12.

Erra, whose full name is Fazira Wan Chek, shed tears as she shared the happy news with members of the media, according to a report by mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

Insya-Allah, if all goes well, I will be getting married on Dec 12,” Erra, 51, said tearfully, with Ezwan by her side.

“These are tears of joy, not sadness. I invite everyone to pray for my big day,” she added.

The singer-actress shared the news when met at the press conference for the launch of her new song Cinta Abadi 2025, held at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur today (Dec 2). 

Yesterday, mStar reported that the couple was said to be tying the knot next week after nearly a year of getting to know each other.

According to a source, Erra and Ezwan are currently busy with preparations and have informed close family members and friends about their upcoming celebration.

Their relationship came to light when Erra posted a romantic birthday message to Ezwan in January.

For the record, Erra was previously married to businessman Engku Emran on Oct 25, 2007, but they divorced on Feb 18, 2014. They share a daughter, Engku Aleesya, who is now 16.

Prior to that, Erra was married to singer Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim in 2003, but the couple divorced in 2006.
