Erra Fazira’s husband is already doing right by her.
Ezwan Zain, 44, went to great lengths to create a beautiful wedding reception for his wife at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 27.
Appreciating his dedication, the 51-year-old singer-actress praised him in her speech and promised to be the best wife.
“I want to commend my husband, Ezwan Zain, for doing everything.
“I feel so fortunate for his hard work and sacrifice, staying up all night just for tonight’s event.
“Even as he stepped into the hall, he was still thinking of everyone and wanting all our guests to be happy.
“I will treasure this memory forever, and I hope you will guide me well. I want to be a good wife for you,” she said.
The reception, themed When Two Worlds Collide, was organised entirely by Ezwan. According to him, he designed it just for Erra as she "deserve to be celebrated with love, beauty and serenity."
He also thanked her for choosing him to be her partner.
“Thank you for choosing me, and for the trust, patience, and love you have given. I promise that we will continue together, learning and always being by each other’s side.
“I may not be perfect, but I promise in front of everyone here tonight to uphold this responsibility and build a harmonious and loving home,” he said.
Ezwan also surprised Erra with a Broadway-style song specially composed for her, titled Cinta Erra.
Among the 500 guests who attended the reception were Datuk Yusof Haslam and his wife; Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza; Datuk Aznil Nawawi; Datuk Ziela Jalil; Datuk Nora Ariffin; Azwan Ali; Raja Azura; Lisdawaty; Norman Hakim; Linda Rafar; and Diana Rafar.
The evening also featured performances by Noryn Aziz, Ning Baizura and Sean Ghazi.
