THE Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC) returns for its 33rd edition, continuing its long-standing presence in Malaysia’s golfing calendar.
Running from July to October, this year’s tournament features 30 qualifying rounds across the country and more than RM2.7mil worth of prizes throughout the season.
The campaign kicked off on July 4 with its opening leg at Sungai Petani Golf Club.
The qualifying rounds will be held at 30 golf clubs nationwide.
The Nett and Gross winners from the qualifying rounds will advance to the National Finals, with further details to be announced later.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said the tournament has brought the golfing community together for more than three decades.
“For over three decades, Carlsberg Golf Classic has stood as a platform that brings the golfing community together, going beyond the game to celebrate the shared passion, friendship and the drive to always be better,” he said.
“It truly embodies our Semper Ardens spirit, which means ‘Always Burning’, always striving for excellence, both on and off the green.
“From the first drive to the final putt, we remain committed to creating a #BestWithCarlsberg platform that welcomes and celebrates sportsmanship and passion for the game from across the community,” he added.
Throughout the tournament season, participants can enjoy selected beverages at participating clubs, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, Carlsberg Smooth Draught, Connor’s, 1664 Blanc and non-alcoholic brew Somersby Apple 0.0.
