Six heavy vehicles seized, compounds issued for parking illegally in Shah Alam

SIX heavy vehicles were seized and eight compounds issued during an operation against illegal parking in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) said, in a statement, that the vehicles were found parked in prohibited areas and obstructing traffic along Persiaran Sepang in Sections 27 and 28.

The operation was MBSA’s ninth integrated enforcement exercise against illegally parked heavy vehicles this year.

The city council said eight compounds were issued for offences under Section 7(1) of its Parks By-Laws.

The six seized vehicles were towed to MBSA depots in Sections 17 and 31 for further action.

According to MBSA, the operation was carried out to address the parking of heavy vehicles at unauthorised locations and ensure compliance with regulations.

It was led by MBSA enforcement officer Rozaidi Ahmat.

Also present was MBSA councillor and Zone 10 Residents’ Representative Council (MPP) chairman Wan Shaharuddin Shah Ismail.

MBSA said similar enforcement operations would continue from time to time.

Heavy vehicle drivers were advised to comply with parking regulations.
