Resorts World Genting’s food trail until July 31 features five exclusive creations for those who like their comfort food with a serious kick.
Familiar Malaysian favourites are reimagined with bold, numbing and addictive Sichuan peppercorns, turning everyday cravings into something worth the trip up the hill.
The journey starts at Jom Makan SkyAvenue, Level G, SkyAvenue, with the Nasi Lemak Ayam Gepuk Sambal Meletop, where crispy smashed fried chicken is drenched in fiery mala sambal that does not hold back.
Built for sharing, the RM82.50 platter serves four and comes with additional drinks at RM3 each, making for a messy, loud and satisfying group feast.

At Lobby Cafe, guests can discover what is believed to be Malaysia’s first-ever Mala Roti Tissue paired with a special mala dipping sauce.
The combination of crispy, flaky roti tissue and bold mala flavours offers a twist on a familiar comfort food – at RM9, or RM13 with a drink combo that includes a choice of iced lemon tea, iced Hainan tea, iced Hainan coffee or mineral water.
For adventurous dessert lovers, Italgelato at First World Hotel and Bakery at Genting Grand presents the Mala Gelato, an unexpected fusion of creamy sweetness and warming spice.
Crafted with a mala spice blend, the gelato delivers luxurious texture with a kick that lingers on the palate.
At RM9 for a single scoop and RM16 for a double scoop, the treat is a smooth, icy indulgence.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Food Street has the Mala Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Tender steamed chicken and fragrant rice are elevated with a fiery ginger-garlic sauce infused with mala seasoning.
Priced at RM24, it is also available as a RM28 combo with a choice of herbal tea including luo han guo, chrysanthemum or sugar cane, balancing heat with something cool.
Finally, Fire Pit restaurant turns up the heat with its Mala Ikan Patin Bakar.
Featuring succulent patin fish grilled in banana leaves, the dish is accompanied by a special mala dipping sauce and creamy peanut butter sauce served with mantou, offering diners a rich combination of smoky, savoury and spicy flavours.
It is priced at RM58, with soft drinks at RM2.
