PETALING JAYA: Hakim Danish Ramli could not have asked for a better birthday present after the rising Moto3 star received a major career boost by being named Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park ambassador.

Hakim, who turned 19 yesterday, described the partnership as more than just support for his racing career, saying it also gives him the opportunity to inspire the next generation of riders.

“I am truly honoured and grateful to Genting SkyWorlds for believing in me and choosing me as their ambassador,” said Hakim, who is 7th in the overall standings after 11 rounds.

“This is an opportunity to inspire more young Malaysians too – to dream big, work hard and never give up on their ambitions.

“I aim to work hard, share my journey and continue to make Malaysia proud, both on and off the track.”

Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday, the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to supporting and celebrating Malaysians who continue to raise the nation’s profile on the global stage.

Under the “Inspirasi Anak Malaysia” initiative, the partnership recognises Hakim’s remarkable journey from local racing circuits to international motorsports competition and aims to inspire young Malaysians to pursue their ambitions with determination and resilience.

The collaboration will also bring the values of motorsports closer to families and young fans as it serves as a platform for youth engagement programmes and sharing sessions.

Resorts World Genting executive vice-president of sales, marketing and public relations, Spencer Lee, said: “Hakim represents the determination, ambition and resilience that have inspired Malaysians across the country.

“As a young athlete who continues to make Malaysia proud on the international stage, he is a natural partner for Genting SkyWorlds and an excellent ambassador for our brand,” he said.

Hakim will make his return to the Moto3 World Championship after the summer break at the Grand Prix of Great Britain on Aug 9.
