HUNDREDS turned up for a Wesak Day celebration in Pandan Indah, Selangor.

Devotees took part in an act of spiritual purification by pouring water over an infant statue of Gautama Buddha at the Taman Maju Jaya event.

Organised by Jing Xin Buddha Education Association, it was attended by prominent figures from MCA and Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, senior political advisor to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In his speech, Tengku Zafrul said Malaysians shared the same vision despite their diverse backgrounds.
