After months, still no council action on safety risks

I HAVE complained to Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) about the main road after the Uniten roundabout heading towards Hospital Serdang, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.

Firstly, how could the local council allow people to sell food and drinks by the side of such a busy road?

This is a main road. This causes traffic jams during peak hours.

Cars also double park to buy food there.

This clearly can cause accidents and trigger quarrels.

It has also been almost nine months since I complained to MPSepang about this place being in pitch darkness at night.

Here is where the blame game starts.

MPSepang said the place was not under their control. Then who maintains this place?

There has been no maintenance carried out on both sides of the road. It’s like a mini jungle now.

I complained through the Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa) but was given the runaround.

The issue about unkempt bushes and plants was directed to Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

Meanwhile, the problem with unlit streetlights is being pushed between the Public Works Department (JKR) and Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).

The authorities need to take action and fix the problems soon, as this is a matter of public safety.
