Teamwork truly made the dream work one morning at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur when an estimated 14,000 devotees gathered for a triple celebration.

The event, held to mark Mothers Day, Wesak Day and the 60th anniversary of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, was orchestrated with the support of some 4,000 dedicated volunteers who had spent months planning and preparing.

Devotees and visitors began arriving as early as 4am to participate in the Buddha bathing ceremony held in the middle of the stadium field.

To ensure the event ran smoothly, volunteers were stationed at strategic points to manage traffic flow, assist the physically challenged and guide vehicles to designated parking areas.

While the formation of concentric circles by some 8,000 volunteers on the field stood out as a key moment of the day, much of the crucial work took place behind the scenes.

Volunteer teams were seen working tirelessly around the clock, managing food preparation, running merchandise booths throughout the day and clearing up waste after the event concluded.
