Wall repaired, pavement built in Taman Sri Sinar

The first phase of upgrading works on the walkway with reinforced safety railings along Jalan 30/38A is completed.

Rectification work for the perimeter wall collapse along Jalan 30/38A in Taman Sri Sinar, Kuala Lumpur, has been completed.

The wall collapsed last November after torrential rain caused the soil to give way.

Segambut Federal Territory Residents’ Representative Council (MPPWP) sub zone 4 secretary Wenda Ngoh said jutting tree roots damaged some parts of the wall, contributing to the collapse.

Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh’s political secretary Yap Yee Vonne said the incident did not compromise the structural integrity of nearby houses.

“Clearing began the day after the incident while restoration and improvement works began in December.

“It encompassed wall reconstruction, drainage repairs and pavement upgrades,” she said.

The site now features a new pavement, fully restored drainage system and reinforced safety railings.

“Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is expected to continue upgrading the remaining section of the walkway with full completion slated for later this year,” said Yap.

Also present was Segambut MPPWP chairman Wong Zhong Yi.
