SUBANG Jaya City Council (MBSJ) demolished an illegal guardhouse at Taman Tasik Prima in Puchong, Selangor, during a joint council operation last month.
Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim said the guardhouse was built on a road reserve along Persiaran Tasik Prima 4 without a temporary occupation licence (TOL).
“MBSJ also did not approve the gated-and-guarded scheme as the application did not meet the required criteria.
“So MBSJ assisted the Land Office in demolishing the structure,” he said when responding to queries on the enforcement action after MBSJ’s full board meeting held at its headquarters in USJ5, Subang Jaya.

Amirul Azizan said any residents association (RA) intending to implement a gated-and-guarded scheme must first obtain a TOL from the land office, granted on a two-plus-one-year basis.
He said 75% consent from affected households was also required before MBSJ could approve such applications.
Separately, MBSJ picked 31 winners from its assessment tax lucky draw campaign before the meeting commenced.
The winners walked away with 999.9 pure gold prizes of varying weights, with a combined value of over RM30,000.
In order to qualify for the lucky draw, assessment tax accounts must not have outstanding arrears and payment for the year 2026 must have been done via DuitNow QR on PBTPay between Dec 1 and Feb 28.
According to an MBSJ statement, 181,402 assessment tax payment transactions were recorded during the campaign period, with 605 accounts meeting the eligibility criteria for the lucky draw.
All winners will be contacted for further arrangements.
