Malaysian students with aspirations to build an international career are invited to explore new opportunities through a webinar session on the UK’s Great Scholarship on Saturday.
The scholarship, offered in partnership with the British Council, provides £10,000 (RM53,420) towards tuition fees for a one-year taught postgraduate programme at selected UK universities for the 2026–27 academic year.
This one-hour session will provide practical guidance on the application process, along with valuable insights into what universities look for in prospective candidates.
Participants will also gain a clearer understanding of how a UK postgraduate qualification can enhance career prospects and position graduates for success in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
Adding a personal dimension to the session, an alumnus from the University of York will share his academic journey and reflect on how studying in the UK has shaped his professional path.
His experience is expected to offer useful perspectives for those considering a similar route.
The webinar will also feature representatives from leading UK institutions, namely Queen’s University Belfast, University of St Andrews and the University of York, who will share insights into their programmes, admissions expectations and the support available to international students.
The session will take place on April 25 from 4pm to 5pm via Zoom.
It is organised by Star Media Group and brought to you by the British Council.
Students, parents and young professionals who are considering postgraduate studies in the UK are encouraged to attend.
