National celebrations highlight ties between Kuwait, Malaysia

THE Kuwait Embassy in Kuala Lumpur hosted its annual reception earlier last month to mark Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day.

Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan represented the Malaysian government.

Also in attendance were ambassadors of Arab and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and business leaders.

Kuwait ambassador to Malaysia Rashed Mohammed Al Saleh, in his speech, extended his congratulatory message and best wishes to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government and people.

Rashed expressed his hopes for Kuwait’s continued security, stability, progress and prosperity.

He also highlighted the historical relations between Kuwait and Malaysia, noting that these ties had contributed to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields under the leadership of both countries.

Meanwhile, Amir Hamzah congratulated Kuwait on its national celebrations, extending his best wishes to the country’s leadership, government and people.

He also affirmed that bilateral relations between Malaysia and Kuwait had witnessed positive and steadily growing cooperation over the years across several sectors.
