FOR those looking to ring in 2026 with a bang, Klang Valley is the place to be tonight.

From star-studded concerts and cultural bazaars to dazzling fireworks displays, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are transforming into a massive celebration hub.

In collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, Pavilion Group has a series of programmes to welcome visitors to Kuala Lumpur and promote the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.

At Pavilion Bukit Jalil, a VM2026-themed bazaar runs until today, featuring a mix of street food, artisanal goods, and cultural performances.

Those seeking a livelier atmosphere should head to the VM2026 Arts and Culture Showcase at Fahrenheit 88 in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, tonight.

Performances and activities take place from 10am to 10pm tonight.

These events will culminate in a grand countdown across the street at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

At LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, a countdown will be hosted at the Central Rooftop Garden on Level 4.

Kicking off at 4pm, the evening promises a vibrant line-up that includes a food bazaar, wishing board, neon body painting, glitter jar workshops and a photo booth, alongside a lively lion dance performance.

Visitors can also pick up complimentary glow sticks to light up the evening.

Adding to the festivity, The Exchange TRX will come alive tonight with a musical spotlight show from 8pm to 11.30pm, complemented by a digital wish screen from 5pm onwards.

At midnight, fireworks will illuminate the skyline, with Raintree Plaza and TRX City Park tipped to be the prime viewing spots.

Over in Cheras, Sunway Velocity Mall is inviting visitors to ring in the new year tonight with a free concert and a spectacular midnight fireworks display.

To heighten the celebratory mood, the mall is also holding a lucky draw.

Shoppers qualify by completing a survey via the Sunway Malls app and uploading a receipt showing a minimum expenditure of RM300 at any of its F&B outlets.

A QR code will be issued for lucky draw participants to scan at the concierge.

Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown will light up the city skyline with a fireworks display for its guests in city-view rooms and suites.

It is also holding lunch, brunch and dinner buffets today and tomorrow. For details on pricing and reservations, call 03-3093 1234.
