Animal-themed Christmas event brings cheer to pupils, families in Seremban

UNDERPRIVILEGED children and families from two churches and a school in Seremban were treated to a Christmas celebration by a property developer.

Guests from the Seremban Church of Christ, Chinese Metho­dist Church Seremban and SJK(C) Bandar Sri Sendayan turned up for the annual Christmas programme held at a country club in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan.

Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd property development division co-chief executive officer Chai Keng Wai said, “Christmas is a meaningful reminder of compassion and unity”.

“Through this celebration, we hope to bring comfort, joy and a sense of belonging to families who need it most.”

Chai said Matrix Concepts was also honoured to collaborate with local churches and the vernacular school to organise the event.

Guests were treated to a special screening of Zootopia at Palm Mall Seremban.

After the show, they were taken to the Christmas event venue which was decorated with capybara-themed decor, twinkling lights and playful installations that brought the magic of Christmas to life.

The children and their families explored activity corners and enjoyed festive surprises.

As the sun set, guests gathered by the poolside for dinner and Christmas carols.

They also enjoyed lively stage performances and took part in games and lucky draw segments.

The celebration concluded with each child receiving a gift.

During this festive period, Capy’s Christmas Choco Town, the cocoa-themed Christmas village, was opened to the public over the weekend at d’Tempat Country Club.

There were snowfall sessions, creative workshops, live performances, Christmas market and meet-and-greet sessions with Santa and capybara mascots.

Visitors also enjoyed encounters with capybaras at a petting zoo, where they engaged in festive activities and a variety of interactive games.
