Developer strives to leave cultural legacy with award-winning clubhouse

The clubhouse design draws inspiration from the Unesco World Heritage Site of Hakka Tulou in Fujian, China.

PH WORLD Group is celebrating a significant milestone with the pre-opening of its circular award-winning clubhouse, D’HUB 360°, at D’Art Hills Residence in Bukit Seni, Kulai, Johor.

The group’s key business partners, including leading banks, valuation firms and legal advisors attended the event.

Inspired by the Unesco World Heritage Site of Hakka Tulou in Fujian, China, D’HUB 360° is Johor’s first clubhouse of its kind.

These ancient structures were designed as defensive, communal homes, fostering close-knit communities within their iconic circular walls.

By embracing this heritage, PH World aims to create profound social and cultural value alongside economic development.

“In our developments, we strive to leave a cultural legacy,” shared PH World Property managing director and chief executive officer Joseph Pang.

“We named it D’Hub 360°, a circular social hub with a 360-degree view, signifying the completeness of the lifestyle we provide to our residents.

“Its Chinese name Guan Qun Tu Lou was masterfully inscribed by my grandfather – Phang Piow, a celebrated calligrapher,” he added.

Designed as a modern social village, D’HUB 360° boasts extensive facilities for community living, including an indoor lounge, an amphitheater, function halls, indoor badminton courts and a gym – all overlooking a serene lake garden.

This integrated environment is designed to promote residents’ physical and mental wellness as the central social gathering hub.

The clubhouse’s excellence was recognised internationally when it won the Best Clubhouse Design category at a regional-level award organised in Malaysia in 2023.

It is also certified Design Assessment Green Building Index (Silver) and Pre-assessment GreenRE (Gold), underscoring PH World’s commitment to sustainable development.

The group’s founder and executive chairman Datuk David Pang outlined the group’s key milestones, where the group achieved an annual revenue of more than RM1bil in 2024.

He also laid out the group’s strategic rebranding into five key business divisions: property, palm oil, mining, eco innovation, and hospitality.

“I am proud that PH World achieved this milestone of building the first Hakka Tulou in Johor,” said David.

Joseph and PH World Palm Oil managing director and chief executive officer Stanley Pang presented the achievements within their respective sectors and expansion plans, outlining a bright and collaborative future for the group.

The event concluded with a networking session.

Following demand for its three-storey terrace homes at D’art Hills Residence in Bukit Seni – which received the Best Landed Architectural Design award at the same 2023 awards event, the developer announced that it was now opening registration for a new collection of two-storey courtyard homes priced from RM792,000.

This new phase will significantly expand the development’s lifestyle offerings, with greenery and facilities growing from 1.5ha to 3.1ha, the company stated.

The project will offer residents an unparalleled living experience with two clubhouses, two lake gardens and an expansion of the D’Hills Park.
