Each state has its own special way to celebrate National Day, such as paraders in trishaws in Bandar Hilir (above) and antique two-wheelers in Kuantan (below).
The spirit of patriotism was evident across the nation at various events marking National Day.
Each state hosted its own vibrant celebration, one as beautiful and significant as the next.
In Perak, festivities began on the eve of National Day with a cultural dance performance, and the patriotic energy continued the following day during the parade in front of Ipoh Town Hall building.
Perlis’ capital Kangar was a colourful sea of traditional costumes while Bandar Hilir in Melaka was no less bustling with crowds impressed by a stunning human graphic terrace performance by some 800 students, and a parade featuring the city’s icons including trishaws.
Over in Kuantan, Pahang, paraders included cyclists on antique bicycles while Terengganu’s celebration featured a flotilla of boats flying the Jalur Gemilang in Kuala Terengganu.
The patriotic spirit was equally strong across the seas, with celebrations in Sabah and Sarawak beautifully showcasing the rich local cultures, adding a unique dimension to the national festivities.
