TM EMPOWERS NEURODIVERGENT COMMUNITY WITH ‘HELO MALAYSIA’

ZIMI’J, a multiracial neurodivergent rock band, is joined by young talent Umar Hasfizal (front, centre), who recites poetry and lends his voice in the reimagined ‘Helo Malaysia’.

TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd (TM), the platinum strategic partner of the Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia (HKHM) 2025 in cooperation with the Communications Ministry, proudly presents ‘Helo Malaysia’.

The special song was produced in collaboration with the neurodivergent Malaysian rock band ZIMI’J and the Early Autism Project (EAP) Malaysia.

Launched in conjunction with HKHM 2025, this initiative forms part of TM’s broader commitment to empowering the neurodivergent community while fulfilling its role as a nation builder.

Aligned with the national HKHM theme Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni, this campaign embodies the spirit of Merdeka, celebrating freedom of expression and the diversity that unites Malaysians.

It provides a platform for every voice, including the neurodivergent community, to be heard and to shine as part of Malaysia’s story.

ZIMI’J comprises talented and multiracial individuals — Salvador Ling (vocalist), Joshua Daniel Johnson (guitarist), Maxx Lim (keyboardist), Ilyas Wong (drummer) and Wan Zareef Nuqman (bassist).

The track also features Umar Hasfizal, a gifted young member of the neurodivergent community, who contributes as both a poem reciter and guest vocalist.

The song is a remake of the original ‘Helo Malaysia’ by ZIMI’J, reimagined with a bold rock arrangement and enriched by the creativity of children from the EAP Malaysia.

Their artistic expressions are prominently featured in the music video’s visuals, interwoven with the band’s performance to bring to life the unique perspectives of the neurodivergent community.

The result is an authentic showcase of talent and unity, with its lyrics echoing the Merdeka spirit of inclusivity and shared national identity.

TM group chief executive officer Amar Huzaimi Md Deris said, “The ‘Helo Malaysia’ campaign is our way of celebrating the neurodivergent community and creating a platform for their voices to be heard.

“It reflects the unity and inclusivity that have always defined Malaysia.

“As TM progresses towards becoming a digital powerhouse by 2030, we remain committed to empowering communities from every background, ensuring that every voice has a place in shaping our nation’s future.

“This is, and will continue to be, TM’s greater purpose.”

The music video for ‘Helo Malaysia’ officially premiered across TM’s social media platforms, including YouTube @myTMgroup, ahead of Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia celebrations.

TM invites all Malaysians to tune in and celebrate the nation’s spirit together.
