Delivering a collaboration at KL post office to foster reading habit

Pages-With-Purpose at KL General Post Office is open to the public.

IN AN effort to promote literacy and encourage reading among the public, “Pages-With-Purpose” has opened at Kuala Lumpur General Post Office.

The collaboration between Pos Malaysia Bhd and Books For A Better World (BFBW) brings to the iconic post office in Dayabumi Complex a dedicated space offering visitors access to a wide selection of pre-loved books.

This initiative not only promoted the culture of reading but also reinforced sustainability by giving books a second life, according to a BFBW statement.

The space is open to the public and encourages visitors to browse, read and purchase books affordably – all for a better cause.

“Books are powerful tools that open minds and create opportunities.

“Through this collaboration with Pos Malaysia, we are taking literacy right to the heart of the community – in a place as iconic and accessible as the KL General Post Office,” said BFBW chief executive officer Adrian Ung.

Pos Malaysia group chief executive officer Charles Brewer said, “Pos Malaysia is committed to supporting initiatives that uplift communities and create positive social impact, and we see Pages-With-Purpose as a perfect extension of that mission.”

Additionally, Pos Malaysia and BFBW are in discussions to expand Pages-With-Purpose to other post office locations across Malaysia.

Pages-With-Purpose at the KL General Post Office is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturdays.
