A tempting dessert spread of assorted fruit pudding, kuih and cakes.
A traditional breaking of fast meal with warm hospitality and festive ambience was made more special with the company of children from Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras welfare home.
The children were treated to a spread at Streats Cafe prepared by the culinary team of Ibis Styles Kuala Lumpur Sri Damansara hotel.
The “Santai Ramadan” buffet featured over 100 dishes that reflected Malaysia’s heritage.
Among the starters were a range of local salads – Kerabu Kacang Botol, Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Kerabu Mangga, Kerabu Daging a la Thai, Acar Rampai and Acar Jelatah.
For the main course, the young guests had the choice of dishes like Ayam Bakar Percik Kelantan, Daging Masak Hitam, Gulai Lemak Nangka Padang and fish head curry.
These were paired with white rice or Nasi Minyak Kismis Manis.
To elevate the dining experience, the buffet also featured special dishes such as Sup Tulang Kambing Mamak served with Benggali bread, Bubur Lambuk Kampung Ibis, chicken and beef satay as well as Nyonya curry laksa.
The meal was complemented by an array of desserts such as Bubur Kacang Hijau, Sago Gula Melaka, bread pudding, cream caramel as well as assorted fruit pudding, kuih and cakes.
Traditional favourites such as ais kacang, cendol, tropical fruits and ice-cream ensured the evening’s special guests left with sweet memories.
The Ramadan buffet at Streats Cafe is priced at RM78nett per adult.
It is available from 6.30pm to 10pm until March 26.
