Dr Kamal: The event reflects GHJ’s commitment to delivering innovative healthcare experiences.
THE media were taken on a tour of a private hospital in Johor as part of the latter’s Metaverse Health Hunt.
The tour, themed “Value in Every Step”, provided the invited group of visitors an engaging digital experience.
Gleneagles Hospital Johor (GHJ), in Iskandar Puteri, explained that the tour’s purpose was to showcase its aim of providing better healthcare accessibility, efficiency and service quality for a diverse community.
Members of media were given insights into the hospital’s healthcare delivery that employed advanced technology in patient care.
Also highlighted were various surgical procedures performed at GHJ, which is part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia’s network of 18 hospitals.
During the tour, media members visited key facilities that included the Premier International Patient Lounge.
With multilingual staff and private amenities, the lounge has been designed to ensure streamlined and personalised guest experiences for international patients, particularly those from Indonesia.
It also bolsters GHJ’s reputation as a medical tourism destination for patients from Indonesia’s Batam Island and its Riau province capital of Pekan Baru as well as the city of Dumai.
The tour further took guests on an exploration of the hospital’s Cancer Centre, Accident and Emergency Unit, and Health Screening Centre.
GHJ also gave a preview of the upcoming Level 7 Ward featuring a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, which is among GHJ’s ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
Hospital chief executive officer Dr Kamal Amzan said the media tour reflected GHJ’s commitment to delivering healthcare experiences through innovation and patient-centred care.
“By combining advanced technology with compassionate, personalised treatment, we ensure that every stage of the patient journey is impactful.
“This event allows us to demonstrate how our dedication and expertise contribute towards building trust and improving access to holistic care for communities across the region,” said Dr Kamal who is also IHH Healthcare Malaysia regional chief executive officer for its southern and eastern hospitals.
