IHH Healthcare Malaysia hospitals amongst World’s Best Hospitals 2026

Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur secured the second spot among Malaysia’s hospitals in the World’s Best Hospitals 2026 ranking.

IHH Healthcare Malaysia, part of the IHH Healthcare multinational network, records its third consecutive year in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals, with 12 of its 18 hospitals featured in the 2026 global rankings.

The continued recognition reflects governance systems that are firmly established across its hospitals, with patient safety and care standards applied consistently across specialities and services.

In this year’s edition, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur advanced to 193rd place globally, compared with 204th in 2025 and 223rd in 2024, marking clear progression over three years. Within Malaysia, it retained its position as the second-highest ranked private hospital in the country.

Prince Court Medical Centre ranked fourth in Malaysia in the World’s Best Hospitals 2026 ranking.

Across the network, Prince Court Medical Centre, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Island Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital Penang were placed within Malaysia’s Top 10, while Gleneagles Hospital Johor was ranked among the Top 20.

Earlier this year, 11 hospitals within IHH Healthcare Malaysia were also recognised in

Newsweek’s Asia’s Top Private Hospitals and Clinics 2026 rankings.

IHH Healthcare Malaysia chief executive officer Dr Kamal Amzan said the recognition reflects the strength of the systems behind patient care.

“Clinical excellence is not episodic but built through discipline. We invest in governance, measure outcomes rigorously and strengthen patient safety at every level.

“That consistency is what sustains trust and enables us to continue transforming how care is delivered across our hospitals,” shared Kamal.

Newsweek’s annual rankings are developed in collaboration with global data firm Statista, assessing hospitals based on medical performance indicators, patient experience and expert recommendations.

For IHH Healthcare Malaysia, continued representation in international listings reflects care systems measured against global benchmarks and reinforced over time. These standards define how care is delivered across its hospitals – consistently, accountably and at scale.
