Festive food, activities in Seremban this weekend

The d’Tempat Country Club in Bandar Sri Sendayan has been transformed into a wonderland with lanterns and cherry blossoms to ring in Chinese New Year.

Developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd is set to welcome the Year of the Snake with a weekend showcase of cultural performances, culinary delights and fun activities for the entire family.

Kicking off with a grand launch on Friday, the Oriental Lunar Fiesta will feature lion dance performances, drumming displays, mask-changing opera show, comedy skit and craft workshops throughout the weekend.

Matrix Concepts chief marketing officer Lim Kok Yee said the developer was thrilled to invite the community to enjoy the festivities together.

“This event shows our commitment to fostering a vibrant community in Bandar Sri Sendayan.

“We hope to create a memorable experience filled with joy, laughter and appreciation of how Chinese New Year is celebrated in Malaysia,” he said.

To ring in the season, the d’Tempat Country Club has been transformed into a China-themed wonderland with lanterns, cherry blossoms and festive decor.

In addition to games, activities and food including dragon beard candy, kuih bahulu and muah chee, guests can also look out for promotions.

Activity highlights include craft workshops where participants can try calligraphy and snake-themed hat-crafting, which will take place from 5pm to 10pm over the weekend.

Entry is free but online registration for workshops is encouraged.
