THE Malaysia Budget & Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) Johor chapter organised its inaugural awards in Johor Baru.
Johor MyBHA chairman Jarod Chia said the awards aim to recognise hotels that excelled in service, innovation and delivered exceptional value.
Having such awards, he said, would set a benchmark for budget and business hotels in the state.
“This initiative is expected to boost the visibility of MyBHA registered hotels in Johor,” he said in a statement.
“This event is in line with MyBHA Johor chapter’s commitment to improving business hotel standards and enhancing regional tourism experiences.”
The judging panel comprised representatives from the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry, MyBHA, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Tourism Malaysia southern region, Tourism Johor, Johor Tourist Guides Association, Johor Interior Designers Association and the police.
Johor unity, culture and heritage committee chairman K. Raven Kumar, who represented Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, congratulated Johor MyBHA for organising the event.
Raven Kumar said the award’s five categories were authentic theme, modern and stylish, all-inclusive facilities, zero-dust and high cleanliness as well as eco-friendly and nature.
Recipients of gold and silver awards were presented with trophies and certificates.
