THE Training Providers Association of Malaysia (TPAM) hosted a heartwarming Christmas event at Pulai Springs Resort, Johor Baru, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The event brought joy to 15 underprivileged children from Persatuan Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Shalom Ria Johor Baru, who were gifted with back-to-school kits to prepare them for the upcoming new school year.
The event was attended by over 20 training providers and trainers from across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor, as well as Singapore, India and China.
Participants enjoyed a festive evening featuring a sumptuous dinner, engaging games for the children and a lively gift exchange among the TPAM members.
Highlighting the association’s rapid growth, TPAM president Netty E. Komattu said the association had welcomed over a hundred training providers and trainers in just six months.
“Beyond the spirit of giving, the occasion also provides a meaningful platform for training providers and trainers to network, fostering camaraderie and collaboration across borders,” he said.
TPAM aims to expand its presence in Malaysia and beyond, by strengthening its collaboration with HRD Corp for National Training Week 2025.
TPAM members will offer free training programmes nationwide during this event.
Netty said TPAM’s primary goal was to enhance employability and contribute to reducing unemployment in Malaysia.
TPAM members also highlighted the association’s diverse contributions and impact, besides emphasising the association’s commitment to causes such as organising meaningful events involving and benefitting children.
The association also offers a platform for networking and promoting knowledge sharing among trainers and professionals.
TPAM membership director Roslina Hamzah said TPAM also created opportunities for its members by participating in events such as the National Human Capital Conference and Exhibition, which supports business growth and professional development.
“This reflects TPAM’s dedication to advancing community and professional objectives,” she said. — By REMAR NORDIN
