Sighs of relief as high tide phenomenon passes without incident in Klang

VILLAGERS living along Port Klang’s coastline heaved a sigh of relief as the high tide phenomenon at 5.53am on Friday (Oct 18) occurred without any untoward incidents but with seawater overflowing in a few areas.

Elevated water levels and wave effects caused sea water sloshing onto bunds into scupper drains while most low-lying areas were inundated at ankle deep.
