PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia opened a national water conference here on Monday to address growing pressure on vital water resources.
The two-day event brought together more than 350 representatives from government agencies, industry bodies, development partners, financial institutions, research institutes, and technology providers.
Interspersed with the conference was a trade exhibition showcasing innovative products, services, and technologies from Cambodian and international organizations working in water management, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
As Cambodia faces growing pressures from climate change, particularly droughts and floods, the adoption of modern technologies and innovative management practices is no longer an option, but a strategic imperative, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation Hem Vanndy said at the event. -- Xinhua
