Boasting a total of 27 tourist attraction stops, the KL Hop On and Hop Off city tour bus service has been lauded by tourists for its flexible itinerary.

Like its name implies, you may hop on from any of the listed stop locations and hop off at a destination of your choice throughout the day.

Though the double-decker buses are air-conditioned, which is ideal when it comes to travelling around Kuala Lumpur on hot days, most passengers prefer to sit at the open deck for unobstructed 360-degree views.

Passengers can opt for the day tour which is from 9am to 6pm daily with an interval of 30 minutes’ waiting time, or the night package, a two-hour tour starting from 8pm. The latter has to be pre-booked.

Stops include Merdeka Square, Chinatown in Petaling Street, and Central Market, all in the historical heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Then there are stops encompassing Perdana Botanical Garden and Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, while a trip round the capital would not be complete without a jaunt to Istana Negara.

Visitors making a stop at Merdeka Square will get to see the second-tallest flagpole in the country along with portraits of past Malaysian prime ministers.

Other destinations on route include the iconic Kuala Lumpur Tower as well as Kuala Lumpur City Centre, where the PETRONAS Twin Towers are located, with a number of shopping complexes close by.

The Exchange TRX and Merdeka 118 will soon be added as new stops.

Ticket prices start from RM30 and special rates are available for MyKad holders.
