PPj launches new monthly pass for Nadi Putra bus

NADI Putra Bus users can rejoice as Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) has launched monthly passes for passengers today.

The initiative, called Nadi30 and Nadi10, is a monthly pass for Nadi Putra bus users to enjoy unlimited rides in Putrajaya.

Malaysians can now apply for the pass online, which also comes in the form of a physical card which they can use during Nadi Putra bus rides.

Minister in the Prime Minister Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa, who launched the initiative at PPj Complex Thursday (Feb 22), said it is in line with the government’s aim to make Putrajaya a low-carbon city.

“It is one of the initiatives to reduce carbon in the city by sharing public transport while travelling in Putrajaya.

“The Nadi30 pass is for Malaysians while Nadi10 is for senior citizens, people with disability as well as primary and secondary school children.

“We hope this initiative would encourage people to use buses more while commuting in Putrajaya,” she said, adding that users can now apply online for the pass.

Nadi30 pass is priced at RM30 a month while Nadi10 costs RM10.

Users can start using the pass next month.

PPj president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud said users applying for the pass will need to register it with their personal details.

“Once successful, the pass will be sent to their mailing address.

“Part of the operating cost of the bus services is subsidised by the government based on the distance travelled under a grant given to PPj.

“Currently, we are charging RM1 per ride and those who frequent the bus services will definitely enjoy the unlimited rides,” he said.
