Ten students receive scholarships from Yusuf Taiyoob


TEN students from various schools of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) received scholarships worth RM280,000 from Yusuf Taiyoob.

The Yusuf Taiyoob Education Scholarship provides each student with RM28,000 over a four-year period.

Its managing director Datuk Seri Yusuf Taiyoob said it was vital to empower human capital.

The Adjunct Prof of the School of Economics, Finance and Banking of UUM and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tunisia has pledged to continue to support the nation's education sector.

UUM vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan expressed his gratitude to the company for assisting the financially disadvantaged students.

Also present was Yusuf’s wife Datin Seri Yusnita Ramli.
